The devil uses this trick to make you doubt the presence and the power of God in your life. He tried this with the children of Israel on their way to the promised land. He made them go through difficulties of different forms so that God would become meaningless to them. Naturally, your faith in God may diminish when you face challenges that never seem to end. Therefore, whenever, you go through endless trials, do not sit back and curse God. Rise up and fight, for this is one of the signs that you are in spiritual warfare.

Isaiah 53:5 (NIV) gives us the assurance of healing through the stripes of Jesus when we fall sick. Jeremiah 33:6 (NIV) assures us of restoration of good health. So, when we fall sick, there is a promise of healing that we can hold on to and find heling in the Lord. However, when you are in spiritual warfare, the sickness will not go away. As the scripture in John 10:10 says, the enemy comes to destroy and to steal. He comes to make you lose everything that you acquired from God. He does this to make you hate He who blessed you with good things.

When you are in spiritual warfare, you can lose your job, marriage, loved ones, peace, money and wealth. The devil finds happiness in destroying what God has built. Loss is not in God’s plan for humanity, but the devil’s. Therefore, never take any loss as an accident or as something that is normal. It is actually one of the signs that you are in spiritual warfare.

However, the devil is always at work to disrupt the plan of God for our lives. He is the one who causes stagnation and delays. Stagnation is not a sign that we are lazy or that we are not working as hard as we should. When you are under spiritual attack, all your smart skills, educational background, experience and expertise will not bear any fruit.

5. A Fallout in All Your Relationships

God created us to live in unity, harmony and love with everyone around us. He planted the seed of love in our hearts; a seed that needs to germinate when we relate with others. 1 Corinthians 13 illustrates how we can maintain and build stronger relationships through love. Additionally, in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NIV), the Bible instructs us to pray without ceasing. These are the things that we need to do when we want to stay safe. The name of Jesus is also a powerful weapon in fighting spiritual battles. Jesus conquered the world, and He overcame every battle. He won against the devil, and when we call on Him the devil flees.

Philippians 2:9-10 (NIV) – “Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
